1LT Louis Samuel Miller
Honored by his son, LTC Robert Miller, USA-Ret.
My Dad, LT Louis Miller, served in Patton’s 3rd Army through the end of the war. He never talked in detail about the war, but he was genuinely proud to have been a combat engineer. When I was commissioned, he pinned his 2LT bars (engraved on the back by my Mom) and his “summer castles” on my dress greens. I wore those castles throughout my Army career, and always thought of my Dad when I polished them. Now when I get to visit the Museum, and see his brick, I’ll think what a fine tribute to this fine man Soldier.
