SGT Robert E. Frappier

I bought a brick to honor my uncle, SGT Robert E. Frappier who received his paratrooper training at Ft. Benning, GA and was sent overseas in July 1944 to serve with the 110th Infantry Regiment of the 28th Infantry Division. He was killed in action at St.-Lo, France less than one month after arriving in France. He was 19-years-old when he was killed. His uniform was sent home and 22 bullet holes were found in it. At the time of Robert’s death, his older brother Philip was in training at Reno, NV with the U.S. Army. Robert was awarded a Purple Heart Medal and was buried at a Military Cemetery in France.
