Latest Project! Memorial Garden

The Army Historical Foundation is preparing to break ground on a new Memorial Garden in honor of all those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The architectural approach is unique to its design. The renderings below show how the garden will have a visual shift of light to dark, moving to the high ground, to reverence at the Soldiers’ Cross with the seven Army Values represented at the peak.

We welcome you to be a part of this historic project and show your appreciation to all who served. You can learn more about the Memorial Garden and how to get involved HERE.

Warriors’ Plaza and Field

An Inspiring Space to Celebrate, Experience and Remember

The Museum’s newest outdoor feature is now open! Warriors’ Plaza and Field, located adjacent to the Museum, is a place for visitors to reflect on the stories seen in the Museum and serve as a parade ground for entertainment, military ceremonies, and more. The first event to take place on Warriors’ Plaza was the Army’s official Army Birthday Festival. The family-friendly event brought together Soldiers, Veterans, and their families to recognize 248 years of the United States Army service in defending our nation’s freedom.

The thousands of commemorative bricks lining the walkways are a reminder to visitors of the individual Soldiers and Army family members who make-up the Army’s legacy. The plaza’s trees and benches offer tranquil places to enjoy views of the Museum and the surrounding scenery in the company of family, friends, and visitors from around the world. Commemorative Bricks are available for purchase along with Trees, Benches and Unit Tributes.

Future activities will include cultural events, concerts, military ceremonies, and vehicle demonstrations. Stay tuned for more information on this new outdoor space on the grounds of the Museum. Warriors’ Plaza and Field are  available for private event bookings in the near future but not available at this time.

Stay in the know.
