The Army Historical Foundation is pleased to announce our WWII Range Day! Attendees will have the opportunity to fire the most significant long arms used by American Soldiers during WWII, as well as fully automatic machine guns. The list of weapons includes:
- M1903 Springfield A1
- M1 Garand
- M1 Carbine
- Browning Automatic Rifle
- M1919 Machine Gun
After shooting attendees will enjoy a provided barbeque lunch at the range!
This event will be held at the national headquarters of Shadow Hawk Defense shooting facility outside of Winchester, VA.
Attendees of this event will have the opportunity to fire a full clip/magazine from each weapon, including a 50 round belt through the M1919 Machine gun.
AHF will be setting up tents with coolers of snacks and beverages, with restrooms available on site. Eye and ear protection is required and will be provided, however if you have your own preferred shooting protection, please bring it along! Watching others shoot is great fun and part of the overall experience, we also encourage you to bring a comfortable chair to sit and watch the shooting.
